How long have you been in business manufacturing signs?

The primary supplier of the signs we sell via the internet, Etchcraft USA, has been in business for over 50 years and is one of just a few who are skilled in the acid etching process in the United States.

What type of artwork do you need to create my job?

Artwork from most PC based programs will be sufficient including TIFF, PDF, ai, etc. See file prep guidelines for complete details for submitting your files.

How can my artwork be submitted for production?

For files of 1.5 meg or less, they can be emailed. For larger files, we'll have them uploaded to our FTP site. Once the order has been received, we'll forward you the site information.

How long will it take to produce my order?

Under normal circumstances, it will take approximatelty 15 working days from the time the file is submitted and approved until the job's been produced and ready to ship. Then it's up to the you to decide the level of shipping service you desire.

What notable clients has the manufacturer produced signage for?

Some of our notable clients are the Empire State Building, Ceasar's Palace Casino Resort, Mandalay Bay Hotel, Oregon Health Science University, Safeco Field in Seattle, Trump Properties Worldwide, and many more.

Is it possible to get a sample of a similar sign that I'm placing an order for so I can be assurred of the quality?

Yes, we'll be happy to do so on a case by case basis.

Do you have any set up fees?

No, however if your artwork isn't submitted to scale in the output size and needs to be manipulated and requires some workstation time, then the minimum charge is $100 with additional changes in copy or layout of $50 per hour.

Are my products insured when you ship them to me?

Yes, they're insured for the amount of insurance you ask us to place on the shipment. When your product is picked up by the carrier that is used, the care, custody and control is passed from us to the carrier and at that point all liability passes to them should there be any damage or loss.

Can I get a final proof of my sign before they go into production?

Yes, but keep in mind that any time lapse that takes place from the time we submit the proof to you and the time you notify us of your approval, may effect the turn around time.

What happens if there is an error in the layout or spelling on my signage?

We will in all instances go to great length to insure that your product is produced properly, however, if you submit copy incorrectly and the error isn't caught, it will be your responsibility. Conversely, if we make the mistake, we'll bear 100% of the cost to fix the error.

How competitive are you in your pricing?

Based upon the fact that we're an internet company who offers discounts at what we believe are 15-20% less than what you'd find through normal distribution with a local representative, we feel that we're most competitive. However, those discounts are based upon prepaying for the order on line and terms are not available when taking advantage of these discount rates.

Do you take orders from clients outside the United States?

Most definitely, and pricing will be offered based upon payment in U.S. dollars via wire transfer in advance.

How long are your quotes good for?

All quotes are good for 14 days.

Are there any size limitations for Etched Metal?

Yes, the largest piece that we can etch is 5 feet by 12 feet. The minimum is 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch.

For lists of names being etched on metal plates, what format should they be submitted in?

They should be listed by first then last name in a sans serif font.

Why are your price quotes good for only 14 days.

The metals markets are very volatile and are susceptible to erratic price increases without warning. Based upon that fact alone, we can't guarantee prices which our suppliers won't guarantee for longer than 14 days.

What are your payment terms?

Because we offer 15% + discounts off retail to our on line customers, our payment terms are net at the time you place the order. This allows us to pay our vendors in advance and receive the best discounts from them which we pass along to you.

What shape plates are standard?

Square and rectangular shapes are standard and circles, ovals, and other shapes are charged extra. Please ask about the shape you're considering.

What are your rush charges for speedier delivery?

Less than 15 working days-$55, Less than 10 working days-$82.50, Less than 5 working days-$165. Prices subject to change with complexity of order.
